London Stories ♥
Lately I’ve been thinking non-stop about travelling..particularly to London. If you have read my previous posts you know that I have already been but it wasn’t exactly the best trip. Even though it was a very stressful time there were still good parts about the trip that I want to share with you guys. What I will do is now and then I will tell you about a certain thing or story I loved about my trip a long with some pictures. My first story is about when my mom and I first arrived to London. We had just met up with my sister who had been living in Leeds for school and we were on our way to our hotel. My sister who was used to London took us to the subway because it’s obviously cheaper than a taxi. I was exhausted from the trip and a little overwhelmed when suddenly we reached the escalator. Holy crap those things are huge in London. Ever since I was little I’ve hated escalators so I stood there totally shocked, refusing to go on it. My mom started yelling at me to get on the escalator and out of exhaustion and panic I started bawling. Here I was fresh of the plane standing at the top of the escalator crying as people walked by me staring. We ended up having to take a taxi to our hotel which was quite pricey. So the reason why I love this story so much is because at the moment it was stressful and humiliating and now when I think back it’s just hilarious. I still can’t believe I broke down crying in the middle of the subway especially since I hate showing that kind of emotion in public..well who doesn’t. It ends well though because by the end of the trip I did master those darn escalators. It was definitely an accomplishment. ♥

I do a london trip once a year . I am going in July this year.
I know how you feel about the big old London being scary .I'm 26 now and I'm still scared of London . The tube is a great fear of mine no one told me what to expect . I'm standing on this platform and suddenly i hear a whistling and gush of wind then a massive noise , suddenly out of no where, this train comes racing past at a zillion miles an hour and stops abruptly then you have about 2 seconds to get on on off you go its so fast and the noise and its freezing ! . I come from a small town in south wales so it was such a shock! I think london will always scare me being from such a small town but hey the shops more than make up for it !!
sorry i have rambled a bit now sorry !!!!!!!!
awwh bless you, I live in London and I love it come back and check out our newest shopping mall called Westfields in West London its my new home lol I seriously love it in there and it's only 10mins walk from my boyfriends house hehe any questions just ask hehe great post cant wait for more. just got back from london today! home sweet home! Love it down there but oh my goshhh too busy, too much to see and do, so not used to it ha :) xx
Well done ;)
We have escalators like that in Melbourne. The worst part about them is because they're so long, they're slow. I'd prefer them over an elevator though!
xx
Dang those things are huge! How scary!
I hope you get to go again girl!
I was in London for three years for uni and the underground train scared me too lol. I always got anxious that it would stop and i would get stuck in a tunnel :/
